No-frills B&B on a working farm in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Farm Stay & Grounds
Pleck Barn B&B sits within a working livery yard, where guests can see horses, cows, hens, and three friendly resident dogs. The property has a picnic area on the lawn for outdoor meals, with tables and chairs set up for evening use. From this spot, guests watch the sunset over the surrounding countryside.
Rooms & Accommodations
The Green Room offers a large space with twin beds, a modern TV, and a shower room. The Silver Room comes with a comfortable double bed and views of the stables. A fridge and microwave in the hallway are available for all guests to store or prepare their own food.
Dining & Breakfast
Breakfast is served at a communal table in the farmhouse kitchen, with cooked-to-order full English meals using local ingredients and homemade bread. À la carte and continental breakfasts are also available, and packed lunches can be ordered for day trips. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March to October, the owner's son Alex runs a pop-up dinner experience called Supper at Pleck, held on the lawn.
Pet-Friendly Policy
The B&B charges a minimal pet fee and allows dogs to run freely in the grounds. The owner's own dogs - Bessie, Esme, and another - greet guests on arrival and stay in the kitchen during breakfast. Guests with reactive dogs should note that the resident dogs have free run of the property.
Family-Friendly Accommodations
Rooms can be configured with flexible bed arrangements to accommodate up to three children. Cots are provided for younger guests. The large kitchen table and outdoor spaces allow families to eat together comfortably.
